Plan Hídrico: Water at the Foot of the Volcano

CHALLENGE

This video presented the many sustainable solutions to reverse the course of environmental degradation in a water basin that serves Mexico City. It was used at community meetings and individual meetings with local authorities and other stakeholders and helped to promote a plan developed by scientists and academics to halt the environmental degradation in the River Basin in favor of affordable and more sustainable solutions.

SOLUTION

The video was helpful to our clients in communicating the importance of a more sustainable plan to reverse the degradation of the Mexico river basin. There was already a long, detailed report by scientists and academics, but this film made environmental degradation real, for example, showing holes in the ground caused by land dehydration. It was successfully used in meetings with stakeholders to provide resources and among the community, through community screenings, to raise awareness that individual events affecting people who live in the region are part of a larger, solvable problem.
